Off to Mexico!

July 21, 2016 by Annie Chesson 2 Comments

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I was planning on cooking and posting an awesome Chicken Tikka Masala recipe today, buuuuutttt through the process of moving AND getting ready for our trip, I just didn’t get around to it.

So instead, I wanted to write a super quick post just letting you all know that I will be MIA for the next week and a half or so because we are going to Cancun!!! Woooooooooooooohooooo so excited. This is our late anniversary trip/”deploymentmoon,” and I have been planning it for about six months now. And just let me tell you, people, I am PUMPED. Then, right when we get back from our trip, it’s time to move our tan little butts (LOL we don’t tan) to our new house. Which won’t have internet right away. And I don’t want all of you lovely people to wonder where in the world I disappeared to.

I’m going to keep this little mini-photoless-foodless-post short and sweet because we need to finish packing and get on the road to Kansas City (our flight leaves early tomorrow morning). Also, Seth just had a crazy craving for ramen – not the packaged kind, the LAA-git kind – so we are headin’ out a little early to hit a ramen place in Kansas City for dinner. Yay adventures!

I will see (see? talk to? I don’t know what I should be calling our blogger/reader interaction here) you all some time next week once we are back from our trip and settled in our new place.

I WILL MISS YOU ALL. Time to pack…?

Woohoo!! Have a great trip. We have been to Cancun once……..I have a cute and funny story……but better send it off the comment line. LOL!
If Langostinos is still there……..be careful of the Caesar Salad. Our server dropped sweat in our salad, as he was working up the dressing. (Barf). He was so proud of the beautiful salad he made us. We had to eat some. No way would we slight our server.
Of course we had Lobster………how can you not???? Before leaving, while walking to the door…….Montezumas Revenge hit. And it hit bad. LOL.
We had a great week……stayed at a beautiful hotel. This is a hot, hot week. HYdrate. HYDRATE for sure.
We toured the Ruins, which is a must see, and I got heat exhaustion. Hubs was just walking along, gawking, and there I laid, on the ground. We think about this trip and laugh our butts off.
Have a great trip. Be safe. Happy Anniversary. Make memories.

Blech on the sweating in the salad!! Yikes! I probably would have eaten it anyway, too, if the waiter was so proud of it! We just got back today – seriously the perfect week!!
