Hey internet friends! I have been so MIA since February, so I thought it would be fun to do a mini photo-dump from the past few months to give you a quick update on life (not that a whole lot has changed 🙂). But just to give you some insight into our life since February!
Insight 1 👆🏻. Being outside. Since the weather has turned warm (THANK YOU LAWD), we have been outside as much as we possibly can be. Eighty percent of the time, that means the boys are on their bikes, hence the super cool mohawk helmet pictured above – they both have one. Any guesses who picked those out? Two hints: it wasn’t me, and both choosers were under the age of four. Getting outside as much as possible = my two very active toddlers get plenty of sunshine and exercise = happy kids and happy mom. Harper just goes with the flow and hangs out in my chest carrier the whole time. She’s a dream baby.
Whether we’re outside or inside, about half the time is spent with our friends. Stay at home moms: your mom tribe will make or break your parenting experience. Being a stay at home parent can either be isolating and lonely OR can be full of SO much joy, fun, and community. That has been my experience at least, but I’m also an extrovert so I NEED SOCIALIZATION. Not all are pictured here, but this captures a large section of our family besties (the toddler crew of them at least).
My mom is still living with us (she had a stroke in January and is doing her recovery here), and the kids are still loving “helping” with her exercises. They are so cute and bring so much life and laughter to her recovery journey. “Gigi! Can we help you do your exercises??” << every day 😂.
We’ve had some fun adventure days! A favorite was going up to my brother and sister-in-law’s farm where the boys “helped” take care of some chickens, cows, pigs, baby chicks, and sheep. They LOVED IT. Pictured below is a testament to how many crumbs live on the floor of my minivan.
Oh well. Call it animal outreach? I do it for the chickens. Why waste crumbs when they can go towards hungry birds? You could even say cleaning my car is selfish, couldn’t you? I think so.
Proof that we’re still living in COVID land – this trip to Walmart had me laughing the whole way through the store. Seth forgot a mask, found a toddler shirt in the back of the car, and tied it around his face. Hey, points for creativity, right?
This describes a large part of my year so far. In January, I got into doing my own dip powder nails at home. It has quickly becomes an obsession – I have around 25 colors now, am in multiple Facebook groups, and rarely make it past a week before I re-do them and switch to a new color. It’s a fun new hobby, but also I need to stop buying colors because DEAR GOD I HAVE PLENTY.
And last but not least, a screen shot of Crumbl Cookies’ weekly flavor reveal that they release on Sunday nights. ANOTHER thing that has become and obsession. I screen shot this to send to my mom (who was upstairs 🤦♀️) because we were waiting all day to see what the new flavors were that week.
Y’ALL – real talk – do you have a Crumbl near you? They. Are. The. Best. Cookies. In. The. World.
Actually, don’t even look to see if there are any stores near you – it’s best for your wallet and overall health if you don’t know. Take it from me, a current Crumbl Cookie addict.
And that’s it! I hope this gave you a little mini-look into our life in my few months of absence! Have a wonderful week, friends!
