Hello everyone!
I need to keep this post pretty short, but I just wanted to let everyone know why I will be a little absent for the rest of this week.
This last week has been a complete whirlwind. I went into a local Christian school where Seth and I live to see if they had any volunteer or part time work available, and I ended up with an offer to teach English full time (grades 7-12).
After a lot of discussion with Seth and a LOT of prayer, I decided to take it.
So as of Sunday night, that’s what’s been goin’ on .
The school year starts on August 19th, but I will pretty much be spending every day here until then planning lessons and getting everything ready.
SO – as for the blog. This is still my passion and what I want to do for my career, so I am definitely going to try as hard as I possibly can to still post three times a week and stay consistent.
My plan is to cook and photograph all three recipes on the weekend, that way all I have to do on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is write the posts and comment on other blogs. Life is about to get crrraaayyy.
I’m not going to lie…I’m overwhelmed at this point. But I am trying to stay sane.
So this week there won’t be any posts other than this one, and I will try to cook and photograph this weekend so I can post next week. Bear with me while I get my routine going here!
Okay…well, back to work for me…
I hope you guys have an awesome week! I’ll be back on Monday (hopefully…)!
Congrats for the new job dear and good luck. Hope to see you gorgeous recipes soon:-)

Thanks, Maya! According to all the comments, a lot of people cook and photograph on the weekends – which makes me feel SO much better about it!
How exciting!! Congrats!! :D
Thanks, Jess!
Congratulations on the position! Cut yourself a break at first, give yourself an “adjustment period” where you don’t beat up on yourself if you don’t post as often as you’d like, but you will definitely develop a balance. I work full time with almost an hour commute each way and so I do most of my recipes and photography on the weekends, you’ll definitely be able to manage it (though I do realize a lot of teachers have their own “homework” they have to do out of the classroom). Best wishes and I’ll still be checking for your posts :)

Congratulation on the job! I will continue to stay in touch with your blog, even if posts aren’t as regular as you’d like them to be. Trust me, I know what it feels like to feel like you have almost no time to get everything done ;) You have a great blog, and I truly feel like 3 blogs per week is the PERFECT amount! Great job, Annie!

Congratulations Annie! What an exciting time. I know how hard it can be to juggle working full-time and finding the time to indulge in your passion, but keep it up and do what makes you happy! I love reading your posts every single day :) Can’t wait to hear more about your new adventure! Good luck!
Thanks, Alison :).
Congratulations Annie! That sounds like such a great opportunity! Take all the time you need, your blog will always be here. I know how tough it is to juggle a full time job and a blog! I used to do all my cooking/photographing on the weekends too and it worked out well! Good luck with your new job!! :)

Annie,
Congratulations on the new job! It sounds exciting and will give you a whole new perspective on cooking, I am sure. I can see a new section on your blog for “quick dinners” or “dinners on the go” or “lunch box favorites” or “monthly menu planning”- all for the busy family where both mom and dad work and need nutritious meal planning to fit their lifestyle.
That’s a great idea, Kim!!
Congratulations on the job offer, Annie! I think you’ll be able to keep up with the blog while working full-time! I did it with my other blog and I’m doing it with Small Green Kitchen now. I think you have a good plan, cook on the weekends, post 3 times per week. I’ve found that’s what works best for me. :) Good luck!
