Peppermint Oreo Crunch Cake Mix Cookies


  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 sleeve of oreos, crushed (about 1 1/2 cups when crushed)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Add all ingredients except the crushed oreos to a stand mixer bowl (or regular large bowl if you don’t have a stand mixer) and mix until combined
  3. Add your crushed oreos and mix just until combined
  4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough at a time into your hand and roll into a ball. Press that ball into a disk and add to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat until the baking sheet is full, and bake the cookies for 8-10 mins (9 was perfect for us). The cookies will be very soft when you remove them from the oven, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t done. They set pretty quickly


If you would rather these cookies be more of a “mound” (kind of like coconut macaroon), then just scoop the dough into spheres right down on the baking sheet. They will basically keep the same form throughout baking, so if you want them to flatten out like regular cookies, you’ll need to press them into disks before popping them in the oven.
