Instant Pot Green Chili Chicken


  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 16 oz jar salsa verde (or tomatillo salsa)
  • 4 oz can green chilis, not drained


  1. Season your chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the Instant Pot
  2. To this, add your salsa and green chilis
  3. Stir to combine, and cook on manual high pressure for 5 minutes with an 8 minute natural release
  4. Quick release the rest of the pressure, remove your chicken breasts, shred them, and add the shredded chicken back into the sauce until ready to use!


Total cook time doesn’t account for the time it will take the IP to come to pressure.
