Ultimate Spanish Crostini – Our “Try The World” Box!

- Yield: 3-5 crostinis 1x
- 3 – 5 slices of French bread
- Spanish olive oil (from Try the World “Spain” box)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/4 cup fresh grated Manchego cheese (or any other firm, mild white cheese)
- 1/4 cup fresh tomato spread (from Try The World “Spain” box)
- 2.5 oz tuna packed in oil (from Try The World “Spain” box) – drained
- 1.5 teaspoons mayonnaise
- 3/4 teaspoons good paprika (from Try The World “Spain” box)
- 1 fresh shallot, finely minced
- Chopped pistachios and chopped cilantro for garnish
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Brush the Spanish olive oil onto the top sides of your French bread slices
- Bake the bread for about 5 – 10 minutes, or until it is lightly golden brown
- Slice the top of a garlic clove off so you have a flat surface, and rub the clove over the tops of the toasted bread slices for extra flavor
- Sprinkle the Manchego cheese over top of the toasted bread slices
- Place back in the oven until the cheese has melted
- Meanwhile, stir your drained tuna, paprika, and mayonnaise together in a bowl
- Season to taste with salt
- Top your crostinis with a dollop of fresh tomato spread
- Sprinkle some fresh shallot on top of that
- Spread a dollop of your tuna/paprika mixture on top of the shallot
- Top with chopped pistachios and cilantro
