Simple Sesame Noodles

- 1 box whole wheat spaghetti
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Sesame seeds – optional garnish
- Cook whole wheat spaghetti in boiling, salted water until al dente (follow package instructions)
- In a skillet, combine all the ingredients for the sauce (soy sauce, brown sugar, water, sesame oil, ginger, garlic). Whisk together
- Bring to a simmer and cook for a few minutes, until just thickened slightly. Set aside
- Drain the pasta using a colander, and add the spaghetti back into the large pot
- Once back in the large pot, pour your sauce over the pasta. Toss until totally combined and serve! Optional topping – sesame seeds
