Peppermint Bark Christmas Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
  • 3 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 1/2 cups green and red M&Ms
  • 10 oz meltable white chocolate (I used Ghirardelli)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles (plus more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Pop your popcorn and add to a LARGE bowl (if you don’t have a really big bowl, you’ll want to split this up into a few bowls so you can stir it well)
  2. To your popcorn, add the pretzels and M&Ms
  3. Add your white chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between each, until the chocolate is fully melted
  4. Add your peppermint extract to the melted chocolate and stir to combine
  5. Pour your chocolate over your popcorn mixture and toss until totally combined
  6. Add your sprinkles and continue to toss until combined (if you add the sprinkles before you initially toss with the chocolate, they will all fall to the bottom and will be hard to mix through evenly)
  7. Spread this mixture evenly across 2 baking sheets and top with more sprinkles (optional)
  8. Let it sit out and harden for a few hours before breaking up
