Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken

Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken Bowls - This chicken could legit not be easier OR more delicious! Insanely tender, coated in lots of sweet, savory teriyaki sauce - it’s heaven!

The easiest and most delicious Instant Pot chicken! The meat is tender and juicy, the sauce is deeply flavorful and coats every bite of chicken perfectly. It’s an easy weeknight dinner dream!


  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced
  • Sesame seeds (optional topping for the chicken)


  1. Add your chicken thighs to your Instant Pot
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients (except the sesame seeds) to form your sauce
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to combine
  4. Cook at high pressure for 8 minutes with a 5 minute natural release
  5. Pull the chicken out and then turn your Instant Pot to saute
  6. Let the sauce boil and cook down for 10-15 minutes until it’s thickened a little bit
  7. Shred your chicken while the sauce is cooking down, and once it’s finished cooking down, turn off your Instant Pot and stir the chicken back into the sauce
  8. Serve the chicken and top with sesame seeds!


We like to serve this in bowls over rice and broccoli!
