Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound mild Italian sausage
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 28oz cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- In a large saute pan over medium high heat with a little olive oil, brown your ground beef and Italian sausage and season with 1 teaspoon salt and a bit of pepper
- When the meat is almost done browning, add your onions and cook for the remaining few minutes
- Add this mixture to your Crock Pot along with your garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning – season with salt and pepper
- Stir to combine and cook on low for 4 hours (you can keep it in for longer if you would like)
- When the sauce is done cooking, remove lid, stir in sugar, and season to taste with salt and pepper
