Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound mild Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 28oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  1. In a large saute pan over medium high heat with a little olive oil, brown your ground beef and Italian sausage and season with 1 teaspoon salt and a bit of pepper
  2. When the meat is almost done browning, add your onions and cook for the remaining few minutes
  3. Add this mixture to your Crock Pot along with your garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning – season with salt and pepper
  4. Stir to combine and cook on low for 4 hours (you can keep it in for longer if you would like)
  5. When the sauce is done cooking, remove lid, stir in sugar, and season to taste with salt and pepper
