  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (we used Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • Basil for garnish (optional)

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs
  2. Form into meatballs about the size of a ping-pong or golf ball
  3. Spread a cup of BBQ sauce across the bottom of a crock pot
  4. Add in your meatballs
  5. If you are piling your meatballs on top of each other, brush BBQ sauce over the meatballs before you start the second “layer”
  6. When all the meatballs are in the crock-pot, brush the remaining BBQ sauce all over the top
  7. Cook on low for 4 hours
  8. Top with sliced basil for optional garnish
