Baked Bean and Onion Dogs


  • 8 hot dogs (I always use Nathan’s brand – they are the best!!)
  • 8 buns
  • Baked beans (you’ll need at least 2 cups if you make 8 hot dogs) – I HIGHLY recommend this recipe for the beans – I half it when I use it for these hot dogs
  • 1/21 onion, diced
  • Yellow mustard


  1. Heat your grill or a grill pan inside over medium high heat and cook your hot dogs until browned and charred on all sides
  2. To serve, add your hot dogs to their buns, spoon a heaping 1/4 cup of beans onto your hot dog (more or less according to preference), sprinkle your onions on top of the beans, and finish with your yellow mustard.
