Lots of yummy food and super cute decorations: ✔
We had a dino themed first birthday for our son, Ford, this weekend, and it was seriously so much fun! We had lots of family and friends celebrating with us, Ford had an awesome time and got lots of fun presents, and the adults stayed up and played yard games long after he went to bed. A very successful weekend!
I took lots of pictures, of course 😉.
So the food was all themed – we had raptor claws (Doritos), dinosaur eggs (donut holes), a watering hole (Lavender Lemonade), cupcakes that had little mini dinosaurs on top, and a carnivore and herbivore section. In the carnivore section we had pigs in a blanket, meatballs, and turkey sandwiches. In the herbivore section we had veggie and ranch cups, cucumber, dill, and cream cheese sandwiches, and a savory pesto cheesecake.
Also, check out that masterfully carved watermelon dinosaur head courtesy of Seth. If I had attempted that, I guarantee it would have ended in a bowl of cubed watermelon and a partially carved rind smashed outside in the back yard 😐.
This was his invitation that I made on Photoshop (I deleted our address which would normally go at the bottom). If you want to use this invitation for a birthday party for your little one, I blanked out the detail information (time, date, address, etc…), and made a clickable PSD download that you can grab for yourself!

I hope you all had a “roar”-ing good weekend like we did!
Lol. See what I did there 😉
But for reals, absurd levels of cheesiness aside, I hope your Monday is fantastic!
