BIG NEWS!
Our family of three is growing into a family of four π«πΆπΌπΆπΌ
There’s a brand new little baby Chesson in ma belly. Due December 2nd! I am thirteen weeks along at this point, and we are super excited! The best (and cutest) deployment homecoming gift ever β€.
This new baby and Ford will only be a little over 16 months apart, so it’ll be a crazy adventure for sure, but one we are so ready and excited for!! In other related news, once we found out we were pregnant with number two (you could say it was a tad bit of a surprise π), we decided it was time to get out of the Army. Seth didn’t want to have any more deployments with kids, and I was definitely enthusiastically supportive of no more deployments while single parenting two kids that are just a tad over one year apart…yikes.
So the general plan is for Seth to get out of the Army mid January, about a month and a half after baby #2 is born! SO – those several months are going to be wild and crazy…having a new baby, getting out of the Army, the unknown of Seth’s new job, moving (hopefully to North Carolina!), and adapting to non-Army civilian life, which will be new to us since we’ve been in the Army since college!
It’s definitely a fantastic opportunity to lean in and rest all those fears and anxieties that come with all these brand new, potentially stressful events on God and trust fully that he has a plan for our future and he’s in control. So far, that’s been working out great, but I know it’ll be harder to rest all that on him as we get closer to go time!
Anyyyyway – I had to take a break from the food goodness to let you in on our BIG family news! I’ve been dying to tell you for weeks now, but I wanted to clear the first trimester first ππ».
Check out Ford’s t-shirt – it’s how we announced the pregnancy on social media. If you can’t see it in the picture, it says “Big Bro est. 2018.” How cute is Ford?? It’s painful. Actually both guys in this picture are easy on the eyes. I have some handsome boys in my life π. We can’t wait to have another squishy little baby in our house! We know it will be wild and crazy, but the best kind of wild and crazy π.
Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!

Congratulations on your blessed news! Just wanted to offer you support as a fellow military wife, albeit a Brit and living on a base in Cyprus far far away from friends and family…but my #2 and #3 are 15 months apart and I love it so much that if we were to grow our family further: I would totally do a small gap again. The crying and the tantrums are loud but when the joy and laughter flows its even louder! High five sister, you’ve got this *high five* followed by *knuckles* x

Thank you so much for this comment, Amy! I love hearing about people’s positive experiences with kids so close in age. It makes me even more excited and a little less nervous :). You rock!
